About Us

Community Title & Escrow Services, Inc. is a fully licensed title agency authorized to provide title insurance policies to owners and lenders in real estate transactions in the State of Florida.  We are licensed with the Florida Department of Financial Services (license number E166104) and are an authorized agent of Chicago Title Insurance Company, one of the largest and most highly respected title insurance underwriters in America.  In addition to providing title insurance to our customers, we are also authorized to act as escrow agent and closing agent for real estate transactions.

One of the important advantages of having Community Title handle your real estate closing is that we have an experienced attorney who is directly or indirectly involved in virtually all of the closings taking place at our company.  Often, having an attorney available allows for potential title underwriting or other problems to be resolved  that other title companies who do not have an attorney on staff are not equipped to handle.

Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality in real estate title closing services.  We strive to meet or exceed the highest standards in providing those services in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.  While the closing on a home or other real estate can be a stressful experience for the parties involved, we believe in doing our part to make your closing run smoothly and less stress-inducing.

Kimberly Eckman
Lead Closer

Kim Eckman has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience working as a legal secretary at the Englewood law firm of Diez and Floyd, and later as the escrow officer at Gulfview Title Agency.

She demonstrated her knowledge, as well as her commitment to her career in the land title industry, by becoming licensed as a Title Insurance Agent by the State of Florida - a distinction that not many closers at title companies have achieved.

Originally a native of Pennsylvania who has now made a home for herself and her family in Florida for over ten years, she now enjoys gardening, swimming, tennis and spending quality time with her children.

Tanya Strickland
Closing & Escrow Officer

Having worked in the Southwest Florida land title industry for the past 12 years in various capacities, including as a closer and officer manager at Coastal Security Title, and Security First Title Partners of Charlotte, Tanya's breadth and depth of knowledge and experience makes her a valuable asset to our team not only in delivering quality title and escrow services to our customers, but helping us to be a better company.

While originally from Connecticut, Tanya has spent the past twenty years living and working in Florida, the past twelve in North Port, where she now spends her leisure time swimming, boating, fishing and spending time with her family.

Leonardo
Official Office Greeter

Starting as a young pup (shown here) during a "bring your son to work" day in 2005, Leonardo insisted on becoming a regular fixture at the office every day, where he acts as office greeter and provides much-needed balance and perspective to the staff of our company.

A life-long Cairn Terrier since birth, Leonardo joins a distinctive line of other celebrities in his breed, such as "Toto" from the Wizard of Oz and, well, Leonardo of Englewood.  He enjoys boating, fishing and taking long walks, and, most of all, meeting new people who stop in for a closing, or just to visit.
